Ginger Junk, launched in mid 2006, the wooden junk that combines classic beauty with modern comfort. This custom-designed junk features three decks that house an elegant restaurant, lounge, two bars, a small boutique, library and ten luxurious sleeping cabins. With so much space, passengers can truly unwind.
We chose our boat’s name—Halong Ginger—because, like the plant it was named after, our junk is perfectly suited to this environment. With its golden sails, polished woodwork and refined, Asian décor, the Halong Ginger offers an unforgettable ambiance of relaxed elegance.

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong

Pick up at around 08:00am at your hotel in Hanoi, then depart for Halong Bay - World Heritage Site. En-route a short break to relax, then continue the route to Halong Bay. Upon arrival at Halong pier, check in on board and set sail through bay while lunch is served. Passage into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth. After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay dotted with golden sails, go swimming on a quite beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. Later afternoon, visit an interesting fishing village with opportunity to interact with fishmen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations.
Back on board and enjoy cocktails while watching sunset and later unwind at restaurant for a lavish dinner. Overnight on board.

Day 2: Halong – Hanoi

Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, visit beautiful limestone grotto then back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Time to say goodbye, then you will take the privat car/van back to Hanoi. Drop off at your hotel. End of services!
