I came to Vietnam last winter for a 2 week holiday. From Sai Gon to Can Tho, what I like about this strip of land is the floating lifestyle on Mekong river and its delta. Very peaceful and interesting.
Our tour guide, Mr Vu was very friendly and knowledgeable. We traveled to Hoi An and admired the sunset in My Son heritage. Our next stop is Hue. Personally, Hue and Hoi An is something historical and a little imperial. We enjoyed much the dance in Champa kingdom and the traditional performance in Hue. The slow life here features the city a tranquil spot. Northern Vietnam is rather crowded with motorbike. We stucked with the trafic and motorbike. After some short excursion in Hanoi, we get on the car for Halong bay. If you have ever traveled on Indochina Sails, you`ll experience the motion of Indochina while the landscapes slide by your window. Northern Vietnam is also colorful when we started driving to Mai Chau - Son La - Dien Bien - Lai Chau - Sapa and Cao Son. Things you should spend time here is: hill tribe market ( I visited Cao Son market and stay in Cao Son Ecolodge), Chay river and Da river excursion with visits to the habitat and of Thai Flower Hmong tribes, Sapa terrace, Dien Bien Phu battle. Our trip ends with a trekking trails to Lung Vai which makes no sense of where I was because we only see the forest and waterfall. It was such a beautiful time in Vietna.
